NSW: Premier admits mistake in child protection fines
New South Wales Premier BOB CARR has been forced to admit the government made an embarrassing
mistake in its announcement of tough new fines for leaving children unattended in cars.
NSW Community Services Minister FAYE LO PO announced fines for the offence were about
to be doubled to $2,200.
But the fines were ridiculed by state opposition …
